Posted on behalf of forum user 'AllanA'. I am with a development team producing an online. I have an end-user I have never met who is literally on the opposite side of the Earth. Recently he formatted his system and reinstalled everything he needed. Unfortunately, P4, with the same credentials or an entirely new account/credentials, is giving him "Protected Namespace Access denied" errors. I initially I thought it was something local to him since it referenced the C drive but now I'm not so sure it isn't something to do with P4 security. I do not know how to use P4 very well since I mainly only touch it when a new developer joins the team and I have to provide access to specific folders in our project. Could someone please provide me with detailed steps for what needs to be done to remove this production hurdle? Does the solution occur on the server or the client? Is it something to be done through the client interface or do I need to drop to a command prompt?
