RE: Deleting local files from IDE client.

Thanks for all the replies - I do appreciate me toos  - it makes me feel much less mad.
  
The developer was seeing this behaviour on normal checkins /outs not on unchanged files and not on an undo.  I tried to reproduce it using your information here but couldnt.

  As a workaround I have renamed his account and given him a new account - which while it sucks as a solutuion does get him working again!  Which brings me onto another request - would it be possible that innactive users didnt arrive in the GUI clients list of people that you can filter on, or in the security lists on the server ?  While I do understand the whole pure argument for not being able to delete users I think that they should be pretty much invisible when innactive.

Are the files being checked in unchanged?  If so, there are a combination of
options settings (and solar flare activity of course) that would cause this
to happen.

1. The option setting to checkin unchanged files is set to Undo Checkout.
2. The last time you undid a checkout, you set the option to delete the file
after the undo.

In 1.2, we don't have a global option for what to do on Undo, so the IDE
uses the setting you last used.  You would need to check out a file and then
undo it from the GUI client to see what it is currently set at.  And, yes,
this bit of boneheadery has been fixed for the upcoming 2.0 - what to do on
Undo will be a global option that is available from within the IDE.
