Jason:

1) Can you send me your sgvault.log? We have had one other report
similar to yours. At this time, the problem appears to be related to
placing the "sasser" patch on to the IIS server corrupting something in
the .Net framework or IIS' mapping

2) Can you send me your %temp%\install_vault.log? I'd like to have a
peek at this to see if there is anything about the installation that
stands out.

3) Can you examine your Windows Event Viewer (both Application and
System Events). Scan for anything related to IIS failures or ASP.Net
failures.

4) A quick tip - never, ever modify passwords in the database. For
security reasons, the passwords are hashed, and a blank password is not
a blank or null column value in the database.

To fix this, you will need to:
a) Uninstall the Vault Server -> when prompted please keep your
database (VERY IMPORTANT STEP!)
b) Reinstall the Vault Server -> when prompted, use the same database
server and let the installer know you want to KEEP YOUR database.

I'll await for your response.

Hey all,

I've installed Vault and go to log in with the Admin tool. I got the error:

The user name or password supplied is invalid.

I try a few more times and figure I just forgot what my password was. I
dug around a bit to try to find out a good way to reset my password, but
can't find anything. So, I got into the database and just clear the
password field on the admin record in the tblusers table.

But, still no love.

Walking through the support docs, I can get to:

http://myserver/VaultService/VaultService.asmx

just fine, but can't get to:

http://myserver/VaultService/

I get "Directory listing denied".

Any thoughts?

TIA,
-Jason
