We currently have a bunch of 3.5 licenses and the 3.5 server running.
If we buy a new 4.0 license, I understand the 4.0 client can connect to
the 3.5 server.

You also stated that the 3.5 client can connect to the 4.0 server.
If we buy a 4.0 license, can we install the 4.0 server and move our 3.5
licenses onto it? E.g., so we would have a bunch of 3.5 clients
contacting the 4.0 server as well as the new 4.0 client? Or would we
need to run two servers on two ports simultaneously? Or would we need
keep using the 3.5 server for all clients?

Thanks!

-Luther

Hi, Peter,

SOS 4.0 clients can communicate with SOS 3.5x servers and SOS 3.5x
clients=20
can communicate with SOS 4.0 servers. But of course you won't get the
full=20
benefit of new features and bug fixes unless you upgrade both client and

server to 4.0.
