RE: Question

Ok thanks, that worked.  Now it has started.   I should have known how
to do that, maybe I was thinking you meant something else.  In any event
as long as the people who are going to use this stuff, they have to have
the sourcegear offsite client and can log in and do what they need to do
correct.  Or is there some way I can check and make sure that a user can
get in to use it?

Assuming the server where Source Offsite is installed is a Windows 2000
or later.

From the desktop, Right click on My computer, Manage.

Then expand "Services and Applications"

Then Click on Service.

Scroll down on the right side and doublc click on "SourceOffsite
Server".

Click on the "Log On" tab.

Click on "This account"

Enter <domain name>\user

Enter password two times.

Click "OK".

 

Now restart the service and you should be good to go.

 

The reason it does not work is that the system acccount on Windows does
not have any network access.

	We are doing something very similar, and we have the service
started as a domain user instead of system and it works for us.

		Got the sourcegear offsite server installed on another
machine other than the machine that has the VSS stuff on it.  I have the
users and stuff configured.  I tried it on a 2003 and 2000 server
machine and I keep getting the error when I try to start the service:

		 

		Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

		 

		Anyone got any ideas or can help out, that would be
great.
