SOS service stops

Today we experienced an SOS service stop.  The following was in my event
log (with lots of extraneous "data" that I can send if needed):

The application, retail\svcstub.exe, generated an application error The
error occurred on 02/05/2004 @ 15:31:20.562 The exception generated was
c0000005 at address 60012E18 (Ini_SetLiteral) 

What does this mean?
