G'day, Have you looked in the skinning chapter of the book (or wikibook for that matter)? You can select which vertices are influenced by an armature when bending a joint. Seems to me you aren't using enough, or you don't have enough vertices in the neighbourhood to allow for a smooth bend. Any clues as to a tutorial which shows me how to avoid this? I've created a "blender" group in flickr.com. Feel free to join it if you have a flickr account. http://flickr.com/groups/blender/ Greg M.
