Well, the object I have is a "damaged" double walled cone (extruded object).
Just picture
a bell with thickness (hence the double wall). Each of the face is what I
call a "panel"
(I am an aerospace engineer, in computational fluid dynamics, each discrete
face is called
a panel, that is why I picked that name). The inner wall is a different
colour than the
outer, and when rendering, I see some of the inside faces like if they were
outside of
the outside ones. I managed to get around it by deleting the inner faces
that would
(and should not) not be seen ayway, but having to edit the scene just to get
around
that is time consuming. Just changing the angle of the object (rotating)
will hide back
some of the faces but will bring out more, that is why I took the drastic
route.

I have uploaded a trimmed down file (126 k) that shows what I mean:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Blender/files/demo.blend

If you do a render using the settings, some red will show through, although
the outside
is yellow. Rotating the objet shows panel changing, the effect is visible
in a camera
view, although the rendered image will differ from the camera view as to
which faces
are bleeding through and which are not.
