Originally, they were all shades of red, I changed the outside panels colour to yellow to make a point. > Date: Wed, 09 Nov 2005 23:55:16 -0600 > From: Alex Heizer <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: Re: Re: Missordered panels > > It looks like some of the panels are just colored red at this point. > Zooming in, you can see the inner shell and the red outside panels seem > to just be red panels, not the red inside panels showing through. I know which panels are bleeding through, since I selectively removed them until I had a proper render. Sorry about your problem finding the camera. I did not want to move it for fear that the bug would move away. What you see is what I have, save for modified colours, and with lots of elements removed to reduce the size of the file. This one shows the problem. > Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2005 08:17:28 -0800 (PST) > From: Juan Franco <jumafra77-/[email protected]> > Subject: Re: Re: Re: Missordered panels > > Taking a close look at your model, I noticed a couple > things. I took it that the maximum range of the camera (5000) stood for 5000 metre, and all my objets were designed using that as a basic (i.e. that Blender can model and render a cube 5 kilometer to a side, with the smallest grid representing one cm. I never tried scaling down everything drastically, for fear of loosing details -- after all, internal calculations must have some numeric dynamic range limits, where roundoff errors become an issue. I tried to look for such considerations and limitations in the very abundant Blender documentation and could not find anything along those lines. My requirements are perhaps somewhat different from the average Blender user. > Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2005 10:02:07 -0800 (PST) > From: m p <ysvry-/[email protected]> > Subject: Re: Re: Re: Missordered panels > > seems you find a bug then, please add it to the bug > list and include the .blend file so they can iron it > out. thats how it works in the blender comunity. OK, I will poke around and see how one does file such a bug report. Thansk everyone for the insights. Perhaps this is indeed a bug that can get fixed in a future release, for the benefit of everyone.
