Right.  You shouldn't worry, you're not bursting my bubble....  One of those 
people you speak of would be myself.  I'm an admin on the project (although 
admittedly, up to this point, not a big contributor).  We've moved official 
Blender doc writing to http://mediawiki.blender.org.  This seperate 
documentation project I'm recruiting for, however, has different goals than 
the official doc project, although it shares the same wiki.
