Subsurf question

Ok, so I've got Blender 2.41 and can't find the subsurf option anymore. 
Some things have been moved around with this version and I think that's 
one of them. It's not in the mesh tools window anymore and I really 
can't find it anywhere or any documentation as to where it might be. 
Help?
