Have you deleted the 2.41 version? I haven't had any problems with
2.41 but maybe your computer can't handle it, who knows. Try
deleting/uninstalling 2.41 from your system, installing 2.37, and make
a new blender file. I don't think that you can open a 2.41 model with
2.37 without some problems.
