I don't think that you can open a 2.41 model with > 2.37 without some problems. > well let me tell you what I am running and the problem I'm experiencing. I have a hp pavillion with xp home on it with 312 mb ram here is my problem I'm trying to create a ring simular to a cast iron cylinder liner so when I fire up blender I erase the default cube and replace it with a tube mesh. then I select all vertices push the E key to extrude then the s key to size the extruded vertices to a smaller diameter. but when I hit the s key to size it smaller the vertices seem to spin on an axis instead of heading towards the center of the tube. most aggrevating I assure you. I'm pretty sure when they released 2.41 this setting was left on which is surely confusing many people. I hope someone here has the answer to my problem, once I get this straightened out I'll tell you about my materials problems and maybe post a picture of how crappy things look in this latest version. yes I have the osa on, yes I have subsurfaced it.still looks horrid. all i know is it was hard to get a crappy looking material in the old blender and the new one is just the opposite. ------------------------ Yahoo!
