Distributions need to take responsibility for themselves. Usually this just works, but sometimes distributions need a bit of encouragement from concerned users. If Oyranos adds considerable value to CinePaint and is sufficient quality, then I believe that it makes sense for CinePaint to absolutely require it so that Oyranos will be naturally propelled into the various distributions because CinePaint requires it. The alternative is that CinePaint will normally be made available with features missing. If Oyranos is not yet ready for "prime time" then the issue is different. If this is the case, it could be bundled with CinePaint and incorporated into the CinePaint build so that only CinePaint can use it.
