Sure thing. Questions like that is actually my reason for last line of 
my standard email footer.

You can have multiple build systems concurrently, and multiple Debian 
packages. But only one official Debian package, using one specific chain 
of build routines.

I was not intending to throw a vote, but find the packaging style that 
fits the most engaged Debian-oriented developers. So more of a 
technocracy than a democracy.

Not that I care much. Give me the input I need (official upstream 
tarball and comments on your testing my packaging routines and how they 
fail), and acknowledge my work (by not appointing others to do identical 
work in parallel), and I will be devoted to work with you on this :-)

Ok ok, correction: _I_ need no particular upstream release schedule.

If you want to to partner with Ubuntu, Redhat, whoever and match their 
needs, I won't mind. :-)
