ICC profiles operate on color images, or at least images with a depth of three. In any case, you would have to convert your greyscale image to an RGB image with R=G=B. But to create a profile with a specific mapping to suit your particular purpose is not simple. If you just want to view the image, then just adjust the gamma in cinepaint.
