AFAIK, that is not possible.  ICC profiles operate on color images, or
at least images with a depth of three.

In any case, you would have to convert your greyscale image to an
RGB image with R=G=B.  But to create a profile with a specific
mapping to suit your particular purpose is not simple.

If you just want to view the image, then just adjust the gamma
in cinepaint.  As long as you don't save the image, the original
will not be altered.
