Mathew, CinePaint has currently no concept to attach external data to a internal held image. Nethertheless the so called "parasites" from Gimp could be ported if someone can be pleased to do that. I'd expect it is easy to mid level to program. Otherwise you'd have to handle the data by association outside CinePaint's core.
