Hi all,

today, when trying to compile CinePaint 0.22-1
on my newly installed Ubuntu 8.04, I got the
following error during ./configure:

 > checking for gcc... gcc
 > checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error:
C compiler cannot create executables
 > See `config.log' for more details.

I checked `config.log', but I have to admit
that I'm not sure how to interpret all the output.

When compiling older versions, I never run into
this message. Besides, do I still need gtk-1.2 in
addition to gtk-2.x (and fltk?)?

TIA,

Claus
