I think it's just a new gcc compiler and the typical associated issues. 
You can try compiling with the -fpermissive flag as gcc suggested, or we 
can keep going.

Rather than continue down a support road with 0.22 which I hope is about 
to be retired, would you consider downloading the latest from CVS so 
fixes benefit the project going forward?
