Re: [CinePaint] Saving files in Cinepaint 22-1

I don't understand.  When I open my images using Cinepaint, the bar at the
top states '8-bit unsigned integer', so I assume I'm dealing with an 8-bit
file.  Just to be clear, I'm scanning 35 mm negatives at 3200 dpi, then
opening them with Cinepaint.  I'm trying to figure out why it appears I'm
not getting 16-bit images.  I don't know if it has to do with my scanning
operation or something I'm doing wrong in Cinepaint.  I read that Cinepaint
can handle 8-bit, 16-bit and higher images, but I'm not certain if that
means it can selective output to those bit depths or only that it can open
them.  Obviously, I'm new to Cinepaint, so I have a lot to learn.
