Just use the following command: cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous-umaFjWZdy0gO46yPcjbmJ5G/[email protected]:/cvsroot/cinepaint co cinepaint-project/cinepaint This will download the CVS source. Then: cd cinepaint-project/cinepaint/ ./autogen.sh ./configure However, if using the latest gcc, you will need to apply the patch, cinepaint_gcc-4.4.x.diff, which is available here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=542706&aid=2981993&group_id=75029 I just compiled the CVS source a few days ago because Gentoo upgraded their tiff libraries and most image programs needed to be redone.
