[CinePaint] long overdue, ArchLinux Maintainer looking into upgrading CinePaint in the Offical Arch Repos :)

hey everyone,

a couple months ago, i had posted about the possibility of getting
CinePaint upgraded in Archlinux. my life got really busy and i put it
on the back-burner and 'almost' forgot.

however, today i got in touch with the maintainer of the CinePaint
pkgbuild for Arch, and he is now looking into upgrading it to the
latest version from git.

Arch had been using a really old version (that was buggy, 0.22) so
hopefully, it will be upgraded soon.  I'll let you guys know, and
whomever manages the website, could probably add Arch to the list of
supported distros, i will also probably add a post in the ArchLinux
forums about the new version. i think people had probably tried out
the old version, which was fairly prone to crashing, with other little
annoyances too.

Also, in case anyone wasn't aware, Gnome 3.2 will have integrated
Color Management through ColorD (Gnome's framework for proper color
management). Although Gnome-Shell may not be everyone's cup of tea, i
have been using gnome 3 (without gnome-shell) with Compiz and it gives
you a nice classic gnome-desktop.

the Arch guy said there isn't any development going on with
CinePaint...is it slowly becoming a dead project??? (i hope not). if
anyone knows, please feel free to drop a line
