Hi,
After finding info on
http://jcornuz.wordpress.com/2007/12/13/printing-4-printing-with-cinepaint-gutenprint/
I was eager to try Cinepaint 1.3 on my Debian Squeeze installation. I am
particularly interested in the 'Convert Using ICC Profile' function.
Following the Install instructions, (I downloaded to /opt) dependencies
installed with no errors and ./configure, Make and Make Install all went
smoothly and did not notice any errors.
There was no link in the Applications menu and typing 'cinepaint' in
Terminal gave 'Command not found'
Able to launch Cinepaint from /usr/bin/bin/cinepaint and tool bar now on
screen.
I was unable to load any images in any format (xcf, jpg, tiff etc)
Cinepaint message Open Failed:.....
I am able to create a new image and save as a .xcf file and reopen.
Going back over the install found that Oyranos 0.3.1 is not installed,
will this only affect colour management?
I would appreciate any help to point me in the right direction as I am
keen to be able to use ICC printer profiles, which I have for my printer
(Canon iPF5100) and paper and so complete a fully colour managed system.
Thanks you in advance
John
