Hi there.

First of all, thanks to David Lisle for answering my previous question.

Would it be a solution to install a virtual linux machine on a windows box,
and from there, to open and edit files stored on the windows hard disk?

Who would be willing to explain to a complete linux-beginner how this would
have to be done (which software, how to install, how to install cinepaint to
it, etc.)

Thanks! Urs.
