Actually, what would be a worthwhile project would be to create a VMWare 
"Virtual Appliance" to run Cinepaint in a virtual Linux machine that will run 
under VMWare player.  That way anyone who has the player installed (fairly 
painless Windows install) could run Cinepaint.  Cinepaint could be 
autostarted, and the person running the computer would have to know very 
little about Linux, except they would have to figure out how to get to their 
Windows drive to access their data files.

The main drawback is that only part of the computer's RAM would be available 
(since some of it would have to keep Windows running).
