Possibly the ps-menurc file in the /installed/share/cinepaint/0.xx-x/ 
directory could be a key to do more or less easily the adaptions. The 
file exists quite a while for that, but it is outdated. If someone would 
like to take hands on it, we can make a menu in the preferences dialog.

On the other side, walking through all the code would take about a week, 
starting with app/menus.c.
