There is a lot of noise but that is normal. The settings are ISO 1600. With such a high ISO there is nothing abnormal about the image. Also the shutter speed was 1/30 second, which is not terribly slow but it will not guarantee the sharpest of photos either. Unfortunately, there is something wrong with my comcast connection and I cannot now post the results. There are a 2 megabyte jpeg showing the cinepaint result and a 22 kilobyte preview image that was extracted from the nef. I could email those directly to you if your email server has no qualms about large attachments. Let me know. The noise problem can be dealt with in many ways via post-processing. One effective way is to use greycstoration: http://cimg.sourceforge.net/greycstoration/ So there is nothing wrong with cinepaint. The image appears as it should appear.
