Re: [CinePaint] photo rights

People have pretty well outlined the obvious concerns with "publishing" an
image of a person without getting a release. Pictures in Museums seem to
have similar protection although it seems to be a painting by someone who
has been dead for more than 200 years should enter at some point into the
public domain. Hey but what do I know.

In any case, forget about the various loopholes, and remember that no matter
what people can try to sue you and even if you are found blameless you will
probably need to support the cost of a defense.
