savage aiglx or xgl support

Hi, i would like to know it there is a current development on the savage driver to get aiglx and xgl working. If I compare the current driver with the Windows one, i can see still some differences. Is the spec open or how do you develop the driver? I would like to get this working on my T23. I don't want to buy another Laptop just for this test.
