Direct rendering and AIGLX should work however AIGLX needs the latest version of the savage DDX to fix the locking. The T23s use the Supersavage chips which unfortunately, we know the least about. 3D has still be reported to work fine on them however. If you are trying to run compiz or beryl, you're out of luck until one of them adds support for power of two textures. None of the savage hardware supports NPOT textures.
