On http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/ATIRadeon search for X1300 and 
see that your card does not have any acceleration support yet in 
the open source driver.  Please request ATI to release the specs of 
the card.

Further down that page you'll see that the X1300 doesn't even have a 
2D core, so all that will work for your card is the vesa driver.
