I completely agree! I have a few 9250 cards (PCI and AGP) which work
flawlessly with r200 DRI. It just works "out of the box".
The driver is amazingly stable and full featured.

I too get the "visual warning" too (for depth 32). But I've set defaultDepth
to 24 (it works even if I don't set it).

I my experience, its best to stick with R200 drivers than go with
proprietary drivers.
