audio sync

Howdy all -

I had my first taste of dvd::rip back I think in 2002 when I quickly 
discovered I didn't really have the hard drive space or patience (it was 
900MHz machine w/ 256MB ram).

I just finally decided to try it again - and ran into an audio sync 
problem with my Stargate SG1 discs. Season 1 disc 1 has the pilot (long) 
plus two normal episodes. The two normal episodes encoded just dandy - I 
was unable to find any audio sync issues.

The pilot, however, did have sync issues.

US NTSC

The pilot was the only one with multiple psu core - but it didn't matter 
if I selected it or not.

After some googling I stumbled upon this:

I took the transcode commands out of the log file and change -M 2 to -M 
4 - and that solved the issue, the resulting avi has the dialog matching 
the lips.

What I can't seem to find is a way to specify that in the dvd::rip gui.
Am I just looking in the wrong place?

It *would be nice* if there was a drop down menu or something that 
allowed me to over-ride the default argument to that option if I run 
into a sync problem again - w/o needing to resort to cut-n-paste.

If it already is there and I don't see it, where is it?

Thank you so much for a nice frontend to transcode - I tried reading 
their documentation, and I think I'm lacking the basic understanding in 
how these things work that is required to make sense of it ...
