I think you would actually rip the dvd's into seperate projects. Then use the 
vob files from each project that you want and reauthor a new dvd. I can't 
tell the difference with dvd's and avi's ( good for me ...its cheaper to 
live) so i rip all dvd's to avi and back 4 movies to one dvd. Then I just 
play them on my divx settop box. I also use open office base to create a 
batabase of the movies so I can find the one I want later on.
