Acessing freevo functions without Python

Hi,

just read in the archive that someone is trying to prog an iPhone app 
for freevo. Is there any way to get information out of freevo about time 
schedule, recordings, favorites etc. without using python? Had a look at 
the current web interface and saw that the python scripts use freevo 
calls directly and not with some kind of web/telnet interface.
