[Fresco-devel] no fonts?

hello everybody (anybody?)

i installed fresco on a linux-ppc, debian sarge from CVS today.

the problem i have now is that i have no fonts. or maybe i have
fonts, but i just can't see the writing :-)

setting BERLIN_FONT_CHOOSER to "" provides me with the following
output:

list of available fonts :
0 URW Chancery L Medium Italic
please choose a number :0

...which doesn't solve the problem. does anybody know any way
to fix that?
