[Fresco-devel] message passing system

hi!

some time ago there was a lengthy discussion about replacing the CORBA 
stuff in fresco with an own message passing system -- which still had to 
be implemented :-)

has any work been done in that direction so far?

i'm asking because i'm having a project (more ore less freezing for 
quite some time now) which could make use of the ideas discussed here on 
the list.

if there does any code exist in that direction (maybe someone of the
fresco developers has been secretly been very busy the last months :-)
i'd like to start from there and see what i can use -- if it's all right
with you, of course. if not, i'll start writing something on my own...
(but don't hold your breath -- what i do might and might not be useful
for fresco purposes -- it's all for the sake of a [(L)GPLed] telescope
control system :-)
