Re: [Fresco-devel] Names

Themed names are spiffy. So, since Berlin has become Fresco, how
about:

Berlin -> Sistine Chapel
        an implantation of fresco - get it?
Warsaw -> Frieze
Babylon -> Mosaic
        crud, already taken...
Babylon -> Entablature
Prague -> Cornice
Moscow -> Tapestry
        something to hang over the plain, ugly wall (or hide the
        enormous crack)

Well, you get the idea.

I once sat down with a friend and wrote up a list of edged weapons to
help Systems name all of the Sun Blades Northeastern bought last
year. They were using names of stars - a terrible idea, since this
gave us such memorable names as gwergizbrizgiblgrof.ccs.neu.edu.

My friend studies Hungar (a weapon-happy Chinese martial art), so we
went a little overboard making the list. I look forward to the day
when I can send mail from

hu-deh-dao.ccs.neu.edu (butterfly knives, or "midnight-noon mandarin
duck axes." Those are the strange curved double-bladed things that the
investigator used in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon)

zhen-ma-dao.ccs.neu.edu ("horse hacking sword")

dang.ccs.neu.edu (yes, Kung Fu has wepon forms for fighting with a
wooden bench).
