Incidently, that was conspicuously absent the docs... :) I had tried make install. I just tried make install prefix=/usr/local. There is a bin and lib dir under this. If I run /usr/local/bin/berlin, it seems to do what you describe to expect from ./bin/server. I am running M2. Is this the right set of code?
