-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all! As you might already know, we have problems with libavifile. On newer debian (unstable), and newer gentoo installations, gephex can't play avifiles. Libavifile can't resolve certain symbols in it's plugins. The problem is described in more detail here [1] (with complete thread, but first message not displayed), or here [2]. On debian, an older libavifile package solves the problem [3]. We don't know the reason for the bug, yet. It would really help if the people using gephex on linux could answer to this email and report wether gephex + libavifile works on their installation. Of course it also would help if someone has an idea what could cause the bug :) We plan to drop libavifile and use ffmpeg instead, but due to limited manpower this could take some more time. Thanks, Georg [1] http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.gephex.devel/94 [2] http://lists.gephex.org/pipermail/gephex-devel/2004-June/000085.html [3] http://www.gephex.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFBHgUP/rP0cdKF/ToRArgJAKDrY01RRtNFmqgnPDYSgNCletyVTgCfedjq bfzVCLByzgUHEmk/fooycvQ= =3F7s -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
