Umm, I guess you can blame it on inertia, i.e. laziness.

The intention was not to create a new separate list, but to terminate
this list altogether (keeping the archives, though), and instruct
people to join gtk-list, gtk-app-devel-list or gtk-devel-list instead,
as appropriate for their interests.

Does anybody happen to have this list archived in some form, from
which a web-browsable ad-free archive could perhaps be produced with
some suitable software?
