In addition to people subscribing to the above lists, I think it would 
be a good idea to create a separate list for the "gtk-win32-devel" 
specific work, for several reasons.

It will be easier to find past discussions related to the win32 code in 
GTK+. It will also be easier to follow and consume less time for 
developers working on the win32 code, who also don't need to switch from 
thinking about one backend to thinking about another. But perhaps the 
most important is to not waste time for the x11 backend developers - 
chances are there will be a relevant amount of traffic related to 
gtk-win32, once word spreads that it is available.

Likewise for app developers. Once the gtk-app-devel Linux folks get 
tired of win32 discussions on their list, I'm pretty sure they'd 
appreciate a separate gtk-win32-app-devel list as well; and if that's 
going to happen, it would be a good idea to start it right away and thus 
get the discussion archive in one place. If gtk-win32 is successful and 
becomes popular with win32 developers (and we have every reason to 
expect that), it will generate a lot of discussion.

For example, a problem I'm starting to look at for a project is the 
gtk+-win32 threading issues - a problem I expect the x11 backend folks 
won't want to hear the details about. Let's be nice and keep out of 
their way (ok, I admit it, I say this because I normally skip all win32 
stuff myself, I'm just doing win32 related work temporarily).

Actually, last year I wrote a Q&D Java program called "yasuck" (Yahoo 
were about to introduce some weird rules at the time), to download the 
web archive of yahoo mailing lists in a relatively clean form. It's 
unpublished GPL code at the moment and probably nonfucntional if the 
site has changed since. In my current situation it was simpler to just 
find the messages from this year dealing with the issues I was 
interested in.
