GTK 2.0 and CYGWIN

Is it possible to use GTK 2.0 with CYGWIN?

Would I have to re-compile the source? Or can I use the binaries?

In either case are there particular versions or commandline options
that need to be passed to gcc?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm going mad trying to search the web
for the info.
