The latest gtkglarea from CVS (anoncvs.gnome.org) compiles beautifully out-of-the-box, I tested with Gtk+ 2.0.3. Do not use the 1.99.0 tar-ball, it is too old. When using Visual Studio (not so good if you are poor :) the OpenGL stuff is already there, just add the appropriate directory. If a .lib and the include files will help you I can send them.
