Tor, any thoughts on this?  Is it possible that those of us seeing the
slowdown have something wrong with our pango setup?  I notice that on
your downloads page you refer to the gnuwin32 FreeType2 package and
say this is "used by GTK+ 2.0".  Hmm, I don't have that installed on
Windows and it doesn't seem to be missed...
