Hi,

sorry for my last posting but digging deeper I found out that two
processes get hanging (EBAPI and STM3S, found they're related to the
Epson Status Monitor) and uninstalling the whole Epson printer stuff and
just installing the printer driver without the Status Monitor gets Gimp
print to the USB printer.

So it's not a problem of the Virtual printer port for USB (USB001) but
of Gimp interacting with EBAPI and STM3S aka Epson Status Monitor as all
other apps have no problems with the Status Monitor.

Any ideas?
