URGENT: espose_event

Hello, i have a problem when my program use expose_event to draw a 
rectangle around a widget (like glade). The problem is that under 
linux (gtk+-2.0) all is ok and i can see the black rectangle, under 
WINY2K (gtk+-2.0.6) the rectangle not appear.
The signal handler is connect_after().

Some idea ?
