Interesting comments in that bug.  It illustrates how high the 
expectations of the user community have become.  Probably encouraged by 
the media coverage.  Didn't I see a comment that GIMP 2.4.0 had a 
mention on Fox News?  We can wish someone having expertise with the 
platform will recognize that and step forward.

We also discussed saving the image from GIMP and printing with a 
Windows app.  While this would be a useful work-around, it would be a 
throw-back to the days before seamless multi-function apps.  I'm just 
saying...
