Crop function in 2.4

I'm having a bit of trouble with the crop function in latest release. 
In 2.2, the crop dialogue box would show the aspect ratio as one was 
cropping the photo. This is something I do often - creating small 
photos from large photos by selecting only part of the photo and 
creating an aspect ratio of say 1.85, 1.50, 1.33 etc. In 2.4, the  
crop function is integrated (not a separate dialog box) and doesn't 
seem to show this. The crop tool has a lot more functionality in other 
respects (being able to resize from any corner, for example). Am I 
missing something or is there another way to see the aspect ratio 
change on the fly, without calculating based on the dimensions on the 
image?
