Yes, I have ufraw. I have a copy of the book "Gimp 2 for Photographers". It comes with a companion CD, which has Gimp 2.2, dcraw, ufraw and a couple of other plugins.

Ufraw seems to be able to handle the Adobe raw format (.dng), but not the Pentax raw format (.pef). My camera can make either format. I'll experiment with that for a while.
